Client – Server Architecture

The platform’s architecture is implemented in such a way that all heavy processing and calculations are executed by the platforms software engines launched on the server resources of the organization. The platform’s application software is the only gateway to receive user requests (processing) and subsequently displays results of processes and calculations in appropriate formats.


Flexible data model

The STAR platform does not force an organization to use a predetermined data model. The organization’s analyst can define entities, events and new relationships in accordance with their own needs, to store data, then search and analyze them, or to edit and update past definitions.


Extensibility and customization tools

The rapid development of the platform to meet the specific needs of customers in different areas has always been a concern for our engineers. The pluggability of our dominant engines and software applications enables our platform to respond to our customers specific needs as quickly as possible.


Algorithmic calculations

The STAR platform allows analysts to directly or indirectly use a set of applied data mining algorithms, statistics and network analysis (embedded in the application software). The STAR’s Expert Design Team are quite capable of adding specific and custom-tailored algorithms required by customers; after the processes of evaluating requirements proposed and its design and implementation.


Control access to various data

Access control on the STAR platform serves as the basis of both access levels for data and access levels to software features. In controlling data access, data is divided into two categories of resources that are connected to the platform and data stored in the platform information repository. Facilities are available to control the access to connected resources depending on the type of resource. For example, in role-based access to data in databases connected to the platform can be assigned at even field level. To control access to entity information, events, and relationships in the platform information repository, it is possible to define different sections for storing elements and then to assign different access roles for reading and writing for these sections. Also, the logging section of the platform, records all user activity in interacting with the data and the full history from registration till editing data elements in the platform’s information repository to monitor the management and prevent potential misuse of information are recorded.


Knowledge management and enhancing collaboration

Registering the history of information on the platform and the possibility of observing changes, possibility of sharing information, processes and designed analytical reports, results of the analyzes carried out, as well as the ability to record comments and explanations on each of the elements, will increase the level of cooperation and information flow such to limit prevent workforces in implementing the same tasks.
